Antique gaslight chandelier circa 1895, electrified, with period, etched glass shades.  The Japanned finish (copper plate with black patina) and the cast brass armbacks, gas cock handles, and filigreed bobesche under the body, make this simple, curvy fixture especially striking — not to mention the background etched designs of the shades, elegant yet simple.  Note:  one of the gas cock handles does not match the other two.  The long, stout downrod means this fixture, which measures 27.5″ wide with shades, hangs 45″ long (can be shortened).
