#5448 SOLD

$325.00

Presenting a custom reproduction, gas/electric combination style, three-light wall sconce, with reproduction, frosted-and-clear, pressed glass shades, styling circa 1895.  Brightly polished brass parts, and body, canopy etc. with “antique brass” patina, combine with “monkey tail” armbacks and fancy, cast brass bobesche under the large, gas style shade, to give this impressive fixture lots of visual interest and gravitas. With shades, it measures 22″ wide, 12″ tall and 9.5″ deep; the gas style shade clears the wall by 2.25″, the smaller, electric style shades by 4″. The electric shades reach down 5.25″ below the center of the junction box. A switch on the canopy controls all three lights at once, while the electric light sockets each have an old style, paddle key switch; if these are left on, the fixture can be turned on and off at a wall switch. This would be a wonderful addition to a Victorian Era home or one with 19th century or early 20th century sensibilities.
