#1679 SOLD

Here is one of two matching, vintage electroliers, with Japanned finish of copper and black patina, and period, pressed glass shades — with three lights.  Its mate, item #1678, has two arms.  Apart from the arms (both the shape and the number of them), they are identical — even the shades.  Most remarkable is that they came to us intact, all original, missing only their original shades!  Even the shade holders and socket interiors are all original and matching (except for a little thumb screw or two).  Now, they have new wiring, all-thread pipe and the means for removing the stem for easy shipping, and crossbars for installation to a modern junction box.  But everything you see is exactly as it was over one hundred years ago!  The shades are antique, an example of Early American Pattern Glass, with starburst and stylized frond designs.  The finish on these two fixtures is very good, clearly coppery but not bright, not flashy, definitely showing their age with dignity.  A real vintage treasure, these two!  21.5″ wide with shades, 45″ long (can be shortened).
