#1681 SOLD

A fabulous, milk glass bowl fixture from the 1920s, with six lights!  The bisque, bowl shade (14″ fitter, 15″ in diameter), which has faint traces of tan accent coloring on its gallery of raised zig-zag designs, matches beautifully the three smaller shades which surround it and cast additional light downward.  This pattern shows the classical roots of Art Deco, which is more properly known as Zig Zag Moderne.  Some tiny rim chips and slight discoloration can be detected on the smaller shades, but all are in very good condition with no cracks, and A FOURTH SHADE WILL BE INCLUDED AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE, to prevent tears and despair should one of the lower-hanging shades get an unintentional whack one sad day.  The fixture (which has been rewired and socket insulators replaced) has its comfy old, gold painted finish, and distinctive, cast brass gravity hooks, and even its original three, clamp-on shade holders.  Lots of light, and the essence of Jazz Era elegance!  38″ long (can be shortened) and 19″ wide with shades.  Also available, a matching pair of pendants with “acorn shades” in this same pattern!  See item #2278.
