#1700

$950.00

One of a pair of antique, three-light gasoliers, electrified — matching but for the shape of the brass ribbons that act as risers, leading the eye upward and creating whimsical shapes and negative space in a simple, Arts & Crafts -inspired way.  Also similar but not matching are the sets of three antique, single-etched, slant shades; this set features griffins in a symmetrical pose, surrounded by stylized floral shapes.  Both are all-original except for the shade holders, dating from the late 1800s.  The shades, with 5″ fitters, are from the 1870s.  Of particular interest are the brass cylinders above the bodies, surrounded by the risers, with intricate, naturalistic floral designs. These are sold singly but would be an outstanding pair for a larger room or two, adjoining rooms such as parlor and drawing room; see item #1701.  32″ long and 26″ wide with shades (+/- 1/2″) (can be shortened).
